Dr. Robert C. Dinga, O.D. is a distinguished optometrist specializing in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery. With a robust educational background, Dr. Dinga earned his BS in Biology, Cum Laude, from the College of Charleston in 1996, followed by a Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio University College of Optometry in 2000, where he was honored with memberships in the Gold Key International Honor Society and Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society.
Dr. Dinga is an active member of several professional societies, including the American Optometric Association (AOA), Ohio Optometric Association (OOA), and the Optometric Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Society (OCCRS). He holds multiple state licenses, including Ohio, Minnesota, New York, Connecticut, and Iowa.
Throughout his career, Dr. Dinga has made significant contributions to the field of optometry. He has presented at numerous seminars, covering topics such as laser candidacy, leadership, and ocular surface disease management. His professional achievements include serving as Vice President of Clinical Operations at LCA-Vision / Kismet New Vision Holdings, where he implemented strategic objectives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction. Additionally, he has held roles such as Director of New Business Ventures and National Director of Optometry at LCA-Vision, where he provided strategic vision and leadership to national centers.
Dr. Dinga’s dedication to optometry extends beyond clinical practice. He has been an editor and primary contributor for “The OD Spectator,” a newsletter aimed at educating optometrists and management. He has also served as a corporate expert witness for clinical case trials and coordinated externships with optometric schools nationwide.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Dr. Dinga has served as an Executive Officer in the U.S. Army Reserves, where he significantly improved the unit’s training and medical readiness.
