Recognized for having performed the world’s first high definition Wavefront-guided laser procedure in 2003, Dr. Michael Gordon, M.D. is a world renowned authority in the field of refractive surgery and part of your TLC LASIK San Diego team. In 1989 Dr. Gordon became the first surgeon in the United States to use the Summit excimer laser to correct nearsightedness. Dr. Gordon is also the only surgeon to have been involved in all phases of clinical investigation for the Summit laser in the United States, prior to and up to approval. He is often a lead investigator in FDA clinical trials to study and improve the safety and effectiveness of vision correction procedures.
Dr. Gordon has traveled the world lecturing and teaching laser vision correction to ophthalmologists internationally. He has also published and presented several papers at medical conferences world-wide.

Dr. Gordon received his Medical Degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo’s School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Colorado Medical Center, Denver. Dr. Gordon also received a Fellowship in Corneal and External Diseases from the University of California, San Diego and is also certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
