Dr. Mary J. Rauch is the Clinical Director for the TLC Charlotte LASIK Eye Surgery Center. She received her Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from Northeastern State University in 1996 where she graduated with honors, Summa Cum Laude. She was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Fraternity, Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society, and received the Clinical Award for Excellence. She was active in helping to start one of the first Laser Vision Correction centers in Oklahoma. In 1997, Dr. Rauch completed her residency from Southern College of Optometry at the Salisbury Veterans Administration Medical Center. Dr. Rauch completed her undergraduate education at Missouri State University. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree with double majors in Biology and Chemistry, and graduated with honors, Summa Cum Laude. At TLC Charlotte, Dr. Rauch is responsible for overseeing the clinical operations and business operations of the center. She also works closely with our network of optometric physicians who provide pre- and post-operative care for patients following laser vision correction by providing training and continuing education. She has lectured extensively in the area with a primary focus on refractive surgery. Dr. Rauch has served on the board for the TLC National Clinical Directors Advisory Group. She is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the North Carolina State Optometric Society. Before accepting her role as Clinical Director, she was in a group private practice in Charlotte, NC. In her spare time, you’ll likely find her boating, water skiing, or taking care of her three dogs.
