Dr. Judaun Alison holds distinction as the only ophthalmologist in the region who has completed a fellowship in cornea surgery, and she was among the first to perform LASIK in the TriCities. She is a co-medical director at TLC TriCities where she has been performing laser vision correction since 1997. She recently was the first to gain approval to use an implantation intraocular lens device called AcrySof® ReSTOR® for patients with cataracts who desire to decrease their dependency on glasses. She has also participated in a clinical trial study investigating a new therapy for dry eye syndrome.
Education/Training
After a successful career in nursing, Dr. Alison attended the Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University where she received her medical degree in 1989. Upon completion of her residency and cornea fellowship at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Dr. Alison began private practice with East Tennessee State University Physicians and Associates. She also performs cornea surgery at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center.

Dr. Alison is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Executive board of the Quillen College of Medicine Alumni Society.
Honors/Accomplishments
Dr. Alison’s ophthalmologic experience in laser vision correction has made her a respected source on refractive surgery. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Quillen College of Medicine where she teaches medical students and residents, and she is proud to have trained several students who have gone on to pursue a career in ophthalmology. Dr. Alison and her husband, who is a local cardiologist, are the parents of four children.
