Dr. Kuryan earned a B.S. in Bioengineering in 2002 at the University of Pennsylvania with the distinction of cum laude. She earned her M.D. from Temple University School of Medicine in 2006, where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Kuryan completed her residency training in Ophthalmology in 2010 at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, where she also served as Chief Resident. She continued her training by completing a fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Kuryan was then appointed Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, where she was honored as Surgical Attending of the Year. She is board certified in Ophthalmology and is also an active member of Women in Ophthalmology.
Dr. Kuryan is a Philadelphia native and part of your TLC LASIK Philadelphia team. She returned to the region in 2012 to join Tri-county Eye Physicians and Surgeons. Her husband is a practicing Allergist in the area. They are actively involved with Bombay Teen Challenge, which is an organization dedicated to fighting human trafficking in Mumbai, India. They support this endeavor through fundraising efforts and have also served in clinics in Mumbai, providing medical care for the women and children victimized by human trafficking. At home, they enjoy rooting for all Philly sports teams and spending time with their three young children.
