Experience
Dr. Stelzer holds active state licenses in Florida as well as New York and worked as a primary eye care physician in Manhattan before returning to practice in south Florida. Dr. Stelzer has counseled and managed thousands of laser vision correction patients. As clinical director, he oversees the clinical aspects of laser vision correction and manages all the pre and post-operative patient care. He works with our medical director in determining patient candidacy, as well as calculating surgical outcomes. Dr. Stelzer instructs and lectures 4th year optometric externs from several optometry schools across the country as part of their clinical externship program.

Dr. Stelzer is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association, the Dade County Optometric Association, and the Optometric Council on Refractive technology.
Interests
When Dr. Stelzer is not seeing patients, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His hobbies include running, biking, and traveling.
Born and raised in Bradenton Florida, his expertise lies in the treatment and management of ocular disease and co-management of ophthalmic surgery. Dr. Stelzer specializes in refractive surgery technology and is proficient in all laser and implantable lens procedures.
